French automaker Renault is set to unveil its all-new compact SUV, the Kardian, on October 25. Renault has shared teaser images offering a sneak peek into the SUV's design, which is slated to launch initially in Brazil before launching in other upcoming markets. The Renault Kardian will mainly target South American markets where the Dacia brand is not present. It's expected to compete with newly introduced small SUVs from other manufacturers such as Fiat's Pulse.

Renault Kardian - Exterior Design

Patent images have revealed that the Kardian SUV boasts split headlamps, a double-layer grille, a rugged bumper with contrasting black elements and a chin with a faux brushed aluminium skid plate. At the rear, the C-shaped tail-lamps look similar to those seen on the Kiger. Higher trims will feature stylish alloy wheels, roof rails, a shark-fin antenna and additional chrome accents.

Renault Kardian - Interior

Interior teasers showcase a stylish dashboard design similar to other Renault SUVs. Key features include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a drive mode selector and a four-spoke steering wheel. The cabin incorporates faux brushed aluminium and wood inserts, along with piano black elements.

Renault Kardian - Powertrain

The Kardian SUV will be equipped with a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine but it is unsure whether it will use the same powertrain setup as the Kiger and Magnite models in India. It will be positioned below the second-generation Duster currently sold in Brazil. The Kardian and the upcoming next-gen Duster will share the CMF-B platform.

Renault Kardian - India Launch

Renault Kiger is the localised version of the upcoming Kardian so there are very less chances that the Kardian will be launched in India. The Kiger is based on the heavily localised CMF-A Plus platform which also underpins the Triber MPV and the Nissan Magnite SUV. It is expected that the all-new Duster will arrive in India by Diwali 2025 along with a new three-row variant.
