Renault Kwid EV Brazil:Renault has unveiled the new Kwid EV in the international market. Named as the Kwid E-Tech in Brazil, it is the badge-engineered Dacia Spring EV. Compared to its predecessor, the updated Renault Kwid E-Tech hatchback features a sharper design, an interior overhaul, and safety upgrades. The newly unveiled model is priced at BRL 99,990 (roughly Rs 16 lakh), making it the most affordable electric car in Brazil. The previous version, on the other hand, was offered at BRL 142,990 (approx. 23.20 lakh).
Renault Kwid EV: Bigger Screen, Revised AC Vents
As part of the updates, Renault has upgraded the model's feature set with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system (with wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay), a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, a height-adjustable steering wheel, and two USB charging ports. The AC vents have been repositioned now, sitting beneath the touchscreen. The vents now get Y-shaped inserts. The vehicle also gets a new e-shifter gearbox, integrated into the centre console.

Renault Kwid EV: Gets Level 1 ADAS
On the safety front, the new Kwid E-Tech gets a Level 1 ADAS suite with 11 security features, along with 6 airbags, parking sensors (front and rear), electronic stability control, TPMS, auto-locking doors, ABS, ISOFIX mounts, and a rearview camera. The ADAS suite includes lane keep alert and automatic emergency braking, among other things.
Renault Kwid EV: Range, Charging
Powering the updated Kwid E-Tech is a 26.8kWh battery paired with a 64bhp/113Nm motor, delivering 265km range in mixed conditions and 298km in urban conditions. 0 to 100km/h comes up in 14.6 seconds (claimed), while the battery can be charged from 15 to 80 per cent in 40 minutes using a 30kW fast charger.

Renault Kwid EV: Now Gets Sharper Design
Visual updates include a new grille design (with Y-shaped DRLs), revised projector headlamps, dual-tone 14-inch alloys, a beefier rear bumper, and Y-shaped taillamps. The vehicle continues to get side claddings, flap-style door handles, and ORVM-integrated turn indicators.
Renault Kwid EV: Will it Come to India?
Although there is no official word, the Kwid EV is believed to be launched in the Indian market next year. The price is expected to be north of Rs 7 lakh.
