French automobile manufacturer Renault has revealed the facelift model of the Kardian SUV. Renault will launch the Kardian SUV first in Brazil and then in other emerging South American markets. Renault is planning to target the South American market with the launch of the Kardian SUV, where the Dacia brand is not present. Additionally, Dacia is a subsidiary of Renault Group. 

Renault Kardian - Engine 

Talking about the engine specifications of the Kardian SUV, it houses a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine that is capable of generating a power output of 123 bhp and 220 Nm of torque. This engine is paired to a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The engine also gets a Stop and Start functionality that helps in improving the fuel efficiency of the car.

Renault Kardian - Exterior 

Talking about the appearance of the Kardian SUV, it features style elements like split headlamps, huge front and back bumpers, a double-layer grille, a flat bonnet, side plastic cladding, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, shark-fin antenna and roof rails, chrome inserts and a coupe-like body shell. The Kardian SUV is built on the new modular CMF platform which has also been used to build the new-gen Duster. The Kardian SUV measures 4.12 metres in length and is 2.6 to 3 metres wide. 

Renault Kardian - Interior 

On the inside, the Kardian SUV hosts an array of features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment, a drive mode selector, a four-spoke steering wheel and ambient lighting that changes as per the driving mode. 

Renault Kardian - Safety Features 

The Kardian SUV is also equipped with safety features such as 6 airbags, ADAS, 360-degree parking camera, speed limiter, Blind Spot Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Frontal Collision Warning, Electronic Stability Control and Active Emergency Braking systems.

The Renault Kiger SUV that is currently sold in India is the heavily localised counterpart of the Kardian SUV so it is quite possible that Renault will not launch the Kardian in India. Renault mainly aims to sell the Kardian in markets where the Kiger is not being sold already.
