The Renault Duster made its debut in India in 2012 as a compact SUV and was among the first models to launch into that category with competitors like the Hyundai Creta entering the market later on. However, Renault Duster sales in India gradually declined over the years so Renault had to discontinue the Duster SUV in April 2022. After being launched in India in 2012, it was available for sale in India for an entire decade.

New-Gen Duster - Engine

The new-gen Duster will be available with three engine options - a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine, a 1.0-litre petrol engine and a 1.2-litre petrol hybrid engine. All these engine options are tuned to generate power output of 167 bhp,109 bhp and 118 bhp to 138 bhp respectively. These engine options will come mated to either a five-speed manual transmission or a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT unit.
