Himalayan 450 Prices: After a long wait, Royal Enfield has finally launched the Himalayan 450 in India. The new adventure-tourer has been launched at the ongoing Royal Enfield Motoverse 2023 in Goa's Vagator. The new Himalayan 450 was showcased at the EICMA 2023. Royal Enfield earlier announced the details of the new bikes and with the official launch, the manufacturer has also announced the prices of the Himalayan 450. The bike has been launched in three variants -- Base, Pass and Summit, which depicts the topography of the grand Himalayas. The new Himalayan 450 has been launched as the successor of the Himayan 411 and is equipped with loads of new things including the engine, design and suspension. Here are the full details of Himalayan 450.

Himalayan 450 - Prices

The new Himalayan 450 is available in three variants - Base, Pass, and Summit. The Himalayan 450 Base variant is available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.69 lakh, the Himalayan 450 Pass variant has been priced at Rs 2.74 lakh (ex-showroom) and the Himalayan 450 Summit variant is available at an ex-showroom price of  Rs 2.84 lakh. Please note that all these prices are introductory and only valid till December 31, which means that the Royal Enfield will increase the prices next year.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 - Engine 

The new Himalayan 450 is powered by RE’s newly developed Sherpa 450 engine. The Sherpa 450 is a 451.65 cc, liquid-cooled engine that churns a power output of 40 bhp and 40 Nm of torque. The Sherpa 450 is coupled with a 6-speed transmission and a slip-and-assist clutch.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 - Design 

The Himalayan 450 is available in a choice of five colours across its three variants. The Base variant comes in Kaza Brown colour scheme, the mid-spec Pass variant is available in Slate Himalayan Slat or Slate Poppy Blue colour scheme and the top-spec Summit variant comes in a Kamet White or Hanle Black colour scheme. 

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 - Features 

The new Himalayan boasts some advanced technological features like a TFT display which has been incorporated for the first time that can be connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth. The adventure tourer is available with three riding modes - Eco, Performance (with rear ABS on) and Performance (with rear ABS off). All lighting units get LED lights. 


Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 - Hardware 

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has been constructed on a new twin-spar frame and is equipped with an open-cartridge USD fork at the front and a preload-adjustable mono-shock at the rear. It offers 200 mm of wheel travel on both ends and provides a ground clearance of 230 mm. It features 21/17-inch wire-spoke rims with the front tyre being sized at 90/90-21 and the rear at 140/80-R17. Braking on the Himalayan 450 is handled by 320 mm front discs and 270 mm rear discs along with standard dual-channel ABS. The seat height ranges from 825 mm to 845 mm, and there's an additional lower seat available, reducing the height to 805 mm to 825 mm. The bike features a 17-litre fuel tank and has a total kerb weight of 198 kg.
