Kawasaki KLE500 Specs:  Kawasaki today unveiled its Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 rival middle-weight adventure motorcycle, the KLE500. The KLE500 nameplate was originally introduced in 1991, and it was discontinued in 2007. The new Kawasaki KLE500 was teased for the first time at last year’s EICMA, and it sits between Versys-X300 and KLR650 motorcycles in the brand’s portfolio. Let’s take a look at the features, body parts, and specs of the newly unveiled Kawasaki KLE500.

Kawasaki KLE500 Specs

The Kawasaki KLE500 draws its power from the same 451cc parallel-twin engine offered with the outgoing Kawasaki Ninja 500. However, the brand claims that in contrast to the Ninja 500, the same mill used with the Kawasaki KLE500 offers a smoother power delivery. The KLE500 also comes equipped with an assist and slipper clutch, which might be beneficial for the new riders or on rough terrains. The KLE500 will be offered in a total of two variants: the standard KLE500 ABS and the Special Edition KLE500 SE ABS.
