Royal Enfield, which is owned by Eicher Motors, is all set to introduce a new generation Bullet 350 on August 30. It will come with the tagline of an ‘old’ motorcycle and will reportedly be based on the J-platform, the same on which the company has made the Classic 350, Meteor 350 and Hunter 350. It seems like it will be a new generation Classic 350, but the company has not confirmed any detail.
The Bullet 350 is said to feature the same 349 cc engine, which is capable of churning out a maximum power of 19.9 bhp and a peak torque of 27 Nm. Royal Enfield started its production back in 1931 and has now shifted towards the modern J-platform recently. Till now, the Bullet uses the 346cc UCE engine, which was introduced in 2010. It is also expected that the chassis of the bike will be much similar to the Classic as well.

The reports also suggest that the Bullet 350 will be much similar to the Classic 350 and will get some minor changes, which may include a single-piece seat with a modern pillion seat, an all-new tail lamp and the removal of the hood over the headlight.
The Bullet 350 was by far the most economical Royal Enfield in the Indian market, but the firm later introduced the Hunter 350, which starts at Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom) and has taken the brand's entry-level slot. However, the firm is reintroducing the Bullet 350, and it will be interesting to see how the brand positions it following its debut.
