The Indian automotive industry’s global impact is also increasing rapidly, and the recent Brand Finance Automotive Industry Report 2026 establishes this. As per the report, 5 out of the top 10 strongest automotive brands in the world are Indian. Let’s take a look at the 5 brands and their ranking in the Brand Finance Automotive Industry Report 2026.

Royal Enfield

Royal Enfield is one of the oldest motorcycle manufacturers in the world. The brand was established in 1901, and it has been making some of the most popular motorcycles ever since. The brand secured the position of the third strongest brand in the world with a AAA rating and a score of 88.6. As per the report, the brand is ahead of popular performance and luxury car manufacturers, Ferrari and Audi. The brand currently sells a wide variety of motorcycles, including the Royal Enfield Bullet 350, Himalayan 450, Super Meteor 650, and more in the Indian market.

Tata Motors

Tata Motors has secured the position as the fifth strongest brand in the world in the Brand Finance Automotive Industry Report 2026. The brand has scored a rating of 88.1, and it is behind Audi, which has a rating of 88.5. The brand is the leader of the Indian electric car market, and it offers popular models, including the Tata Nexon, Tata Sierra, Tata Safari, Tata Harrier, and more.

Maruti Suzuki

Maruti Suzuki is the largest car manufacturer in the country, and it is the sixth strongest brand in the Brand Finance Automotive Industry Report 2026. As per the report, the brand has a rating of 87.2, and it has left behind Ferrari to become the world’s sixth strongest automotive brand. The brand offers popular car models, including the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, Maruti Suzuki Swift, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, and more.

Mahindra is the 8th strongest automotive brand in the world with an 86.5 rating. The Mahindra is above the luxury car brand Porsche in terms of ratings, and it is behind Ferrari by only 0.1 point. Mahindra makes some of the most popular SUVs in the country, including the Mahindra Thar Roxx, Mahindra Thar 3-Door, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Mahindra XUV 7XO, and more.
