The Exhibition of International Motorcycle and Accessories (EICMA) 2023 is set to take place in Milan, Italy from November 7 to November 12. Many motorcycle brands like Royal Enfield, Hero MotoCorp, Suzuki and KTM will be showcasing their motorcycles at the show.
Royal Enfield, a renowned motorcycle manufacturer, is set to showcase an electric ADV concept at the EICMA two-wheeler show in Milan, Italy. This concept will offer a glimpse into Royal Enfield's electric future and it is expected that it will be built on a platform that has been co-developed with Stark, a Spanish company which was taken over by Royal Enfield last year. Royal Enfield officials have confirmed that electric motorcycles based on both Royal Enfield's and Stark Motorcycle's platforms are currently under development.

The Royal Enfield electric motorcycle concept is expected to use components from the Stark VARG platform. The VARG is an electric dirt bike offered by Stark Future which is known for its impressive performance figures for a claimed power of 80 bhp while weighing just a total of 118 kg.
To expand its electric motorcycle business, Royal Enfield has allocated over Rs 1,500 crore for this task. Royal Enfield has also acquired new land in Cheyyar for an EV facility, however, the initial batch of electric bikes will be produced at the Oragadam facility, utilizing a separate manufacturing line. Moreover, the brand has already put a management team in place for the expansion of the brand in the electric vehicle segment. Umesh Krishnappa has been appointed as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the development project. Additionally, they have appointed Mario Alvisi, a former Ducati veteran, as the Chief Growth Officer for their EV business.
Apart from the electric motorcycle concept, Royal Enfield will also be launching the much-anticipated Himalayan 452 and will be displaying the upcoming Shotgun 650 at the EICMA 2023. Apart from RE, other motorcycle manufacturers will be displaying their upcoming motorcycles like Hero MotoCorp’s new ADV Maxi-Scooter, Suzuki GSX-S1000X, KTM 1390 Super Duke, MV Agusta and CFMoto 450MT-X.
