Maruti Suzuki recently showcased the new-gen Swift at the Japan Mobility Show. Though, Maruti Suzuki stated that it was just a concept version of the upcoming facelift of the Swift, it looked almost production ready. Now, two test mules of the upcoming facelift of the Maruti Suzuki Swift have been spotted testing in Haryana which confirms that the new-gen Swift is expected to be launched in the Indian markets in 2024. Both the test mules of the upcoming Swift facelift were heavily camouflaged, revealing limited details about the car.

New-Gen Maruti Suzuki Swift - Exterior 

From the outside, the camouflaged new-gen Swift can be seen with a new grille, new LED headlights and DRL units and a new bumper at the front. It can also be seen with blacked-out alloy wheels but the production version is expected to have new diamond-cut alloy wheels. The tail lights have also been revamped while the overall structure of the car remains mostly unchanged.

New-Gen Maruti Suzuki Swift - Interior 

Moving inside, the new-gen Swift has been seen with a freestanding 9-inch infotainment display in the spy shots. In addition to this, the new-gen Swift is expected to get top-notch features like new digital driver display, electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera, wireless charging and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

New-Gen Maruti Suzuki Swift - Powertrain 

Talking about the powertrain configuration of the new-gen Swift, it is expected to be equipped with a 1.2-litre petrol engine which will be a three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine and will replace the existing 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine. Additionally, the new Swift is also expected to get a hybrid powertrain to enhance fuel efficiency. 

The concept version of the new-gen Swift that was showcased at the Japan Mobility Show also featured a level-2 ADAS technology, however, it isn’t sure if that will be making its way to India.
