MG (Morris Garages) has announced a strategic alliance with Shoonya, the NITI Aayog-led campaign for zero pollution in transport. This partnership, which unites well-known figures in India's electric mobility industry, strengthens our shared resolve to hasten the uptake of electric cars (EVs) and advance sustainability.
Aim Of Partnership:
The partnership with Shoonya, as per the company, is an important step towards achieving pollution-free and sustainable mobility in the country. The industry-led project Shoonya aims to completely electrify India's urban commercial passenger and freight sectors within the next few years. For this campaign, a wide range of parties are collaborating, including lenders, fleet aggregators, e-commerce platforms, OEMs, ride-hailing services, and providers of charging infrastructure. It has around 200 corporate partners who are all dedicated to advancing the radical and speedy transition to sustainable mobility.

MG's EV Commitment:
MG Motor India is one of the strong contenders of the EV ecosystem in the country with some of the innovative initiatives. The business has already established a network of more than 15,000 charging stations, including home chargers, around India as part of the MG Charge project to facilitate EV charging.
This initiative seeks to establish a shared charging network that spans roads, highways, cities, apartments, condominiums, residential welfare associations (RWAs), and societies in order to provide EV owners with convenient charging options.
MG's electric car goals involve important partners such as Tata Power, Glida, and BPCL. In order to provide better services, the company has also teamed with a number of other businesses, including Electreefi, Exicom, Echargebays, Ionage, and Prestige.
