Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024: Czech automaker Skoda Auto is taking part in the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024. The highlight of the cars showcased by Skoda’s is the upcoming Enyaq iV. The Enyaq iV marks Skoda's debut in the Indian electric vehicle market as its first electric offering. Post its launch, this electric SUV is expected to be the brand’s flagship offering in the country. It is likely that the Skoda Enyaq iV will be brought to India via the CBU route.

Skoda Enyaq - Performance, Battery & Driving Range
Skoda Enyaq iV displayed at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 is equipped with a single electric motor positioned on the rear axle. This electric motor is capable of producing a power output of 282 bhp. It is also equipped with an 82 kWh battery pack that can be charged from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in just 28 minutes. According to WLTP standards, the Enyaq offers a driving range of 565 km on a single charge.
Skoda Enyaq - Platform
Along with the Enyaq iV, Skoda’s parent company Volkswagen is also expected to showcase the Volkswagen ID. 4 GTX at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024. Both the EV models utilize the MEB platform, which also serves as the foundation for the Audi Q4 e-tron. The MEB platform is specifically developed for electric vehicles, featuring an electric skateboard design with wheels positioned at the corners and the floor housing the battery pack. This design enhances cabin space and eliminates the need for a transmission tunnel.
Skoda Enyaq - Features
The Skoda Enyaq iV is also expected to boast some new features such as Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), a 360-degree camera, digital screens for both the instrument console and infotainment system, along with leatherette upholstery in the cabin.
Skoda Enyaq - Launch
Initially, the Skoda Enyaq iV will make its way to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), with the possibility of local assembly being considered based on demand. It is expected to be launched in India in the first half of 2024.
Skoda Enyaq - Price
The Skoda Enyaq iV is expected to be launched with a price tag of Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). Post its launch, it will compete with other counterparts in the segment such as the Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5.
