Skoda Octavia RS Makes A Comeback In India, Launched At Rs 49.99 Lakh

Skoda Octavia RS 2025: Skoda Auto has launched the fourth-generation Octavia RS sedan at an ex-showroom price of Rs 49.99 lakh in India. At its price, the Skoda Octavia RS is around Rs 92,000 less expensive than its mechanically similar rival, the Volkswagen Golf GTI. Skoda offers the performance-oriented Octavia RS in a single variant and five colour options. Bookings for the sedan commenced on October 6 for a token amount of Rs 2.50 lakh, with deliveries scheduled to begin on November 6.

Skoda Octavia RS 2025: Engine

The latest iteration of the Skoda Octavia RS features a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, producing 261bhp and 370Nm of peak torque, making it the most powerful Octavia yet. The previous-generation Octavia RS was offered with a 241bhp turbocharged petrol engine.

Power is sent to the front wheels through a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. 0-100km/h comes up in a claimed 6.4 seconds, while the top speed is limited to 250km/h. The sedan comes standard with a sports exhaust system, but misses out on Dynamic Chassis Control.

Skoda Octavia RS 2025: Features

On the inside, the RS-spec model gets an all-black theme, RS sports seats (with contrast stitching), a flat-bottomed three-spoke steering wheel, and aluminium pedals. The vehicle also features a 12.9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 3-zone climate control, an 11-speaker Canton premium audio system, Type-C charging ports, and powered and heated front seats. Holding 5 stars from Euro NCAP, the sporty sedan prioritises safety with 10 airbags, a 360-degree camera, ESC, an electronic parking brake (with auto hold), TPMS, adaptive cruise control, and park assist, among others. 

Skoda Octavia RS 2025: Exterior

On the outside, the Octavia RS boasts LED Matrix headlamps, 19-inch aero alloy wheels, sportier bumpers, a black spoiler, and RS badging. Skoda offers five exterior paint options – Mamba Green, Magic Black, Candy White, Race Blue, and Velvet Red.
