Summer Car Care Tips: The summer season has commenced in India with June and July months expected to hit peak temperatures in the country. The northwest and central regions of the country often experience severe heat waves. It is crucial to prepare for the intense heat as sitting in a car that’s been baking in the sun can be unbearable. Therefore, keeping your vehicle cool is essential for a comfortable driving experience. Here are some simple tips to help you beat the heat and maintain a pleasant environment inside your car during the hot summer months.
Maintain Your Air Conditioning System
Ensure your car's air conditioning system is in top shape. Regularly check the AC refrigerant levels and fix any leaks. Clean or replace the cabin air filter, and keep the condenser and its coils clean to ensure optimal performance.
Pre-Cool Your Car
Before starting your journey, roll down the windows for a few minutes to let the hot air escape. Then, turn on the air conditioning to cool down the interior quickly.
Ventilation
If you’re parking in a safe area, leave your windows slightly open to let the hot air escape and increase airflow. Installing window visors can help with this by providing a small opening for ventilation without compromising security.
Park In The Shade
Whenever possible, park your car in a shaded area to reduce sun exposure and keep the cabin cooler. If parking in the shade is not possible, try to park your car facing north to minimize the direct impact of the sun.

Use Air Recirculation
While driving in the summer, set your air conditioning to recirculate mode. This helps cool the air inside the car more efficiently by reusing the cooled air instead of constantly drawing in hot air from outside.
