Top 5 Unsafe Cars: Safety has become extremely paramount in the Indian automobile industry as more and more car makers have been prioritising safety in their cars. Manufacturers like Tata, Mahindra, Volkswagen, Skoda and more are known to focus on safety while developing their vehicles. However, irrespective of the increasing safety standards in the automobile industry, several vehicles still exhibit poor safety standards that can be concerning for the buyers. Therefore, we have curated a list of cars that have received poor safety ratings in Global NCAP crash tests.

Honda Amaze

Global NCAP recently revealed safety ratings for the Honda Amaze sedan. It received low safety ratings of just 2 stars in the Adult Occupant category and 0 stars in the Child Occupant category. It lacked sufficient airbags, showcased poor side crash protections and offered marginal protection in the chest area while also lacking essential safety features. 

Citroen e-C3

Global NCAP also revealed safety ratings of Citroen e-C3 and it performed extremely poorly as it managed to score a 0 star safety rating in Adult Occupant category and 1 star in the Child Occupant category. It performed poorly in frontal crash, side crash and in child protection as well. It is not equipped with any necessary safety features. 

Hyundai Aura 

The Global NCAP safety crash test ratings for the new Hyundai Aura have not yet been released. However, the car is expected to be evaluated soon as part of the upcoming Bharat NCAP program. It's important to highlight that the Hyundai Aura is built on the same platform as the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios. The Grand i10 Nios received a 2 star rating in the Adult Occupant category in the Global NCAP safety crash tests, with its body shell integrity classified as unstable. 

Renault Kwid 

Renault Kwid has scored a 1 star safety rating in the Adult Occupant category and 1 star in the Child Occupant category. Global NCAP revealed that it lacked airbags, offered poor protection in the chest area and also lacked important safety features.

Maruti Suzuki WagonR

Maruti Suzuki WagonR has received a 1 star safety rating in the Adult Occupant category and 0 stars in the Child Occupant category. Global NCAP revealed that it had insufficient airbags, offered poor child protection, lacked essential safety features and provided weak protection in the chest and lower legs.
