Suzuki GSX-S1000GX And GSX-8R Unveiled At EICMA 2023, Check Engine Specs And Features Here

Japanese manufacturer Suzuki has revealed two new motorcycles at the EICMA 2023 taking place in Milan, Italy. The two new models revealed are the GSX-S1000GX which is a sport tourer motorcycle and the GSX-8R which is fully faired variant of the GSX- 8S. However, there is no information on whether these two models will be arriving in India. 

Suzuki GSX-S1000GX

Engine - The GSX-S1000GX is equipped with a 999 cc, 4 cycle, DOHC, liquid-cooled, inline 4-cylinder engine that is capable of producing a power output of 150 bhp and 106 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to 6-speed transmission.

Features - The GSX-S1000GX is Suzuki's first motorcycle with smart suspension called Suzuki Advanced Electronic Suspension (SAES). This system adjusts the suspension to match how fast you're riding, the road condition and how you're using the brakes. It also has a feature called Suzuki Road Adaptive Stabilization (SRAS) that senses bumpy roads and uses data from sensors and Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) to control the suspension even better. Other notable features include Suzuki Drive Mode Selector Alpha, Ride-by-wire Electronic Throttle System, Bi-Directional Quick Shift System, Smart Cruise Control, Motion Track Brake System, Slope Dependent Control System, Low RPM Assist and Automatic Rear Suspension Modes.  

Suzuki GSX-8R

Engine - The Suzuki GSX-8R is equipped with a 776 cc, liquid-cooled, 4 cycle, parallel 2-cylinder, DOHC engine which is used in other Suzuki 800 models as well. The exact power and torque outputs for this model haven't been shared officially  but in similar 800 models, this engine generated a power output of 83 bhp and 78 Nm of peak torque. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox.

Features - The GSX-8R is a sporty variant of the GSX-8S with modifications that include a full cover for the body and a slightly new look. Most fully covered bikes have low handlebars but the GSX-8R has a regular handlebar. It's about 6 kg heavier than the GSX-8S because of the cover. The Suzuki GSX-8R is available in three colours - Metallic Triton Blue, Metallic Mat Sword Silver and Metallic Mat Black No. 2. The GSX-8R also boasts some advanced features like Suzuki Drive Mode Selector, Suzuki Traction Control System, Ride By Wire, Bi-Directional Quick Shift System, Suzuki Easy Start System and Low RPM Assist.
