Toyota Motors is one of the world’s best selling automotive brands and India is not any different. Toyota retails 10 different vehicle models in India that span across categories like hatchbacks, sedans, MPVs and SUVs. However, if you’re planning to buy a Toyota car right now, the automaker has recently revealed extended waiting periods on almost all its models. Particularly, models like the newly launched Rumion MPV and the other models like Urban Cruiser HyRyder SUV, Innova HyCross MPV and Vellfire MPV have waiting periods of more than 12-14 months. Listed below are these models and their waiting period time.

Toyota Rumion CNG
Toyota's latest MPV, the Rumion was introduced in August at a starting price of Rs 10.29 lakh (ex-showroom) and it's available in both petrol and CNG versions. The CNG variant of the Toyota Rumion is in high demand and the waiting period for the Rumion CNG is up to 18 months. The Rumion MPV is powered by a 1.5-litre K-Series petrol engine and comes with both manual and automatic transmission options.
Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder CNG
The Urban Cruiser HyRyder is Toyota’s compact SUV and its CNG variant has the second longest waiting periods among all the Toyota models in India. The CNG variant of the compact SUV was introduced in January this year at a starting price of Rs 13.23 lakh (ex-showroom) and the waiting period for the CNG HyRyder SUV is 16 months. The Urban Cruiser HyRyder is powered by a 1.5-litre K-Series engine paired with a five-speed manual gearbox.
Toyota Innova HyCross Hybrid
The Innova HyCross is Toyota’s most popular MPV sold in India and Toyota recently introduced the Hybrid variant of the Innova HyCross which also gained immense popularity. Toyota introduced the Innova HyCross in India in December last year with the prices for the strong hybrid variants starting at Rs 24.01 lakh (ex-showroom) and the waiting period for Toyota’s popular MPV is up to 15 months. The Innova HyCross is available in both petrol and strong hybrid powertrains. The self-charging hybrid powertrain comprises a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 181 bhp with an impressive fuel economy of 23.24 km/l.

Toyota Vellfire
Toyota Vellfire is among the premium vehicles sold by Toyota in the country and this luxurious MPV has a waiting period of approximately 15 months and the wait time may vary depending on where you purchase it. Prices for the Toyota Vellfire range between Rs 1.20 crore and Rs 1.30 crore in India. The Vellfire MPV derives its power from a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that is paired to an automatic transmission.
