Tata Curvv EV: Tata Motors, a leading automobile manufacturer in India has significantly captured the electric vehicle segment of the market. Tata currently retails four EV models which include the Tiago EV, Tigor EV, Nexon EV and the newly launched Punch EV. Now, Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the Curvv EV in the country. Ahead of the official launch, Tata Motors is testing the upcoming electric model and it has been spied once again.

Tata Curvv EV - Design 

The recent sighting of the Curvv EV test mule was near Coimbatore during a testing phase. Tata Motors also showcased the ICE powered variant of the Curvv EV at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. In terms of design language, the Curvv EV will resemble its ICE counterpart while boasting some alterations to highlight its electric nature. The front fascia of the Curvv EV bears resemblance to the Nexon facelift, however, notable changes are seen in its side profile and rear. The sleek coupe-like silhouette defines the side, with a distinct slope towards the rear along with new LED tail lamps. 

Tata Curvv EV - Driving Range 

The Curvv EV is anticipated to offer a driving range of up to 500 km, particularly for the Long Range variant. Additionally, it is speculated that a Medium Range variant will also be available, offering a reduced range.

Tata Curvv EV - Launch In India 

The Curvv EV will be positioned above the Nexon EV in Tata Motors’ lineup of vehicles. Tata Motors has officially announced plans to introduce the Curvv EV in the Indian market within the financial year 2024-25. This indicates that the Curvv EV is expected to hit the market between July and September of 2024. It will be available exclusively through the newly established Tata EV dealerships.

Tata Curvv - ICE Powered Variant  

Tata Motors will launch the Curvv SUV with both internal combustion engine and electric powertrains. The lineup includes a 1.5-litre diesel engine generating 113 bhp of power and 260 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox and an optional automatic transmission. Additionally, a new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine with direct injection will be available, delivering 123 bhp of power and 225 Nm of torque.
