Tata Safari Petrol:  The Tata Harrier and Safari Petrol SUVs have started reaching the dealerships ahead of their official launch in the country. It is worth mentioning that the petrol iterations of the Tata Harrier and Safari were expected to be launched in the country on December 9, 2025. However, the launch of the Tata Harrier and Safari petrol has been postponed, and the brand has not yet announced any specific date for the launch. Let’s take a look at the engine specs of the upcoming Tata Harrier and Safari petrol.

Tata Safari And Harrier Petrol Engine

The Tata Safari and Harrier petrol are expected to come equipped with powertrain options of a 1.5-litre Revotron Naturally-aspirated petrol engine and the new 1.5-litre Hyperion petrol engine. The recently launched Tata Harrier comes with a choice of the same engine options, and the 1.5-litre Hyperion engine recently set the record for maximum fuel efficiency achieved in 12 hours. In a certified run at NATRAX Indore, the Sierra delivered an exceptional 29.9 kmpl, surpassing the previous national benchmark.

Tata Safari And Harrier Petrol Transmission

The Tata Safari and Harrier are currently available with a diesel engine, which can be paired with either a manual or an automatic transmission. We expect the mill to be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, and the automatic transmission might likely be a Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT).

Tata Safari And Harrier Petrol Expected Price

The prices for the Tata Harrier start from Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom), and the Tata Safari is priced from Rs 14.66 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards. We expect the upcoming Tata Safari and Harrier Petrol to be launched with prices starting from Rs 13.60 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 12.49 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.
