Tata Motors on Thursday said it will increase prices of its commercial vehicles by up to 2 per cent from April 1, 2024. The price increase is to offset the residual impact of the past input costs, the auto major said in a statement. Tata Motors, India's top automaker by revenue, had last hiked prices for its commercial vehicles range by up to 3 per cent in January.

Earlier this week, Tata Motors said it will split into two listed companies, separating its CV business from its passenger vehicle arm. The CV entity will likely generate substantial earnings and cash flow to comfortably service its debt obligations, ratings agency Moody's said on Wednesday.

Tata Commercial Vehicles In India 

Tata Motors retails a number of commercial vehicles in India which include big trucks, small trucks, buses and vans in the country. In the trucks segment, some popular models include Tata Ultra, Tata Signa, Tata 407 Gold SFC, Tata 912 LPK, Tata 709g LPT, Tata 1512 LPT,  Tata LPT 4825 and Tata LPT 613. In the small trucks segment, Tata retails models such as the Tata Yodha, Tata Ace, Tata Ace Gold, Tata Ace EV, Tata Intra V30 and Tata Yodha Pickup. In the bus segment, Tata sells models that include the Tata Starbus, Tata Star Electric, Tata Starbus Skool, Tata Cityride School, Tata Magna and Tata Ultra. Likewise, in the van segment the manufacturer retails models like the Tata Magic, Tata Winger, Tata Winger Platinum, Tata Magic Express and Tata Venture.
