The 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and 1.5-litre diesel engine will continue to power the new Nexon. The 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT gearbox options are still available, but there is now a 5-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox option for the petrol engine.
New Tata Nexon - Transmission Upgrades
One drawback of the previous Nexon was its lack of a real, high-tech automatic gearbox, especially considering the fact that competitors like the Brezza, Venue, Sonet, Kiger, and Magnite all offer either a torque converter, CVT, or dual-clutch automatic. It is likely that the 5-speed manual gearbox will be available on the lower level trims and the 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox will be featured on the higher level trims only. The mid and the higher trims for the petrol variant will get the earlier 6-speed manual and AMT gearbox.
For the diesel, the 6-speed manual and AMT gearboxes will stay the same. Although the output for both engine options has not yet been disclosed, they will most likely stay the same.
New Tata Nexon - Exterior Modifications
Tata has made major exterior changes, which include modifications to the sheet metal, a full width LED tail light at the back, new dual-tone alloy wheels, the removal of the Y-shaped design motifs from the previous Nexon among others.
New Tata Nexon - Interiors
