Tata Punch EV Launched In India: Tata Motors has launched the new Punch EV for the Indian market on Wednesday. The introduction of the Punch EV marks the brand’s second electric SUV offering in the country after the popular Nexon EV. The Punch EV has been built on a new Gen-2 Pure EV platform called the Acti.ev. Bookings have been open for the electric SUV by paying a token amount of Rs 21,000. The Tata Punch EV has been launched at a starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom) with its top model being priced at Rs 14.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata Punch EV - Powertrain 

The Tata Punch EV is available with two battery pack options - a 25kWh battery and a 35kWh battery. Both these battery packs offer a driving range of 315 km and 421 km, respectively. For charging, it can be charged using a 3.3kW wall box charger or a faster 7.2kW charger. It also supports DC fast charging, which can take it from 10% to 80% in 56 minutes using a 50kW fast charger. In terms of power output, the motor equipped in the Long Range variant delivers 122 bhp and 190 Nm of torque, whereas the Standard Range variant produces 82 bhp and 114 Nm of torque. 

Tata Punch EV - Features 

Moving inside, it gets more premium interiors and advanced features like leatherette seats, front-row seat ventilation, an air purifier, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The Tata Punch EV also boasts additional features such as wireless charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree camera and a Fronk which is essentially a storage space under the bonnet. Moreover, the Punch EV is also available with an electric sunroof as an optional feature.
