The Tata Punch facelift has received several changes in terms of design, features, and a new engine option. The Tata Punch facelift has also scored a 5-star safety rating in a crash test organised by the Bharat NCAP (BNCAP). The brand also shared a video showcasing the Punch facelift being crashed into a stationary truck. However, the video raised suspicion among internet users. Let’s take a look.
Tata Punch Facelift Crash Video: The Suspicion
As informed earlier, the brand released a video featuring the Tata Punch facelift being crashed into a stationary truck. However, a section of the video raised concerns if two different vehicles were used to crash-test the vehicle. The video shows the driver's side panel unaffected right after the crash. However, a latter part of the video shows a dent on the same panel. This raised suspicion amongst internet users about whether two different vehicles were used in the crash test.

The Brand Issues Clarification
Following the suspicion, the brand issued a clarification. The brand explained that the dent on the driver’s door panel occurred during the post-crash-inspection of the vehicle, as the engineers tried to open the door to check the cabin’s integrity. The brand further explained that during the video editing, the editor made a mistake and placed the footage with a dent on the door first, and the footage without any dent in the latter section, which led to the misunderstanding.
