The Indian market is set to witness launches of some of the most-awaited electric SUVs. Let’s take a look at the top upcoming electric SUVs in the country.
Tata Sierra EV
The Tata Sierra was launched in the country recently, and its electric iteration is also set to be launched in the country in 2026. The Tata Sierra EV is anticipated to come equipped with a Rear-Wheel Drive and an All-Wheel Drive configuration. The Tata Sierra EV is expected to come equipped with the same features as the ICE variant of the SUV. The 2025 Sierra comes equipped with features such as a triple-screen setup, Level 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, JBL Black sound system with Dolby Atmos, ventilated seats, a dual-climate control system, and more.

Maruti Suzuki E Vitara
The Maruti Suzuki E Vitara has been recently unveiled in India, and it is set to be launched in the country in 2026. The electric SUV by Maruti Suzuki has also scored 5 stars in the crash test organised by the BNCAP. The premiumness and modernity of the exterior bits continue inside the cabin of the Maruti Suzuki E Vitara. It comes with several advanced features, such as powered and ventilated seats at the front, a fully automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, a wireless charger, and more. In terms of safety, the first-ever electric Maruti car comes loaded with features such as 7-airbags, ABS with EBD, an electronic parking brake with auto hold function, hill hold assist, and a Level 2 ADAS suite.

Mahindra EV
Mahindra is anticipated to be developing a pure electric variant of its XUV 3XO SUV, and it is expected to be launched in the country in the first half of 2026. The electric iteration of the XUV 3XO is expected to come equipped with the same list of features, and the brand is expected to equip its upcoming electric SUV with a 35 kWh battery pack. The upcoming electric SUV by Mahindra is expected to have a range of more than 400 kilometres, once fully charged.

Kia Syros EV
The Kia Syros EV has been spied testing in India and overseas as well. We expect the Kia Syros EV to feature a Front Wheel Drive powertrain, and it is anticipated that the electric iteration of the Syros will share its platform with the Hyundai Inster EV. The battery pack is expected to be sourced from Hyundai as well, and we anticipate that the Kia Syros electric can be offered in two variants: a 42 kWh and a 49 kWh battery pack, and it might deliver a claimed range of up to 355 kilometres, once fully charged.
