The electric SUV market is also growing rapidly, and here are the top 5 upcoming electric SUVs in India that are expected to disrupt the Indian ev market.

Tata Sierra EV

The Tata Sierra was launched in the country recently, and its electric iteration is also set to be launched in the country in 2026. The Tata Sierra EV is anticipated to come equipped with a Rear-Wheel Drive and an All-Wheel Drive configuration. The Tata Sierra EV is expected to come equipped with the same set of features as the ICE variant of the SUV. The 2025 Sierra comes equipped with features such as a triple-screen setup, Level 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, JBL Black sound system with Dolby Atmos, ventilated seats, a dual-climate control system, and more.

Maruti Suzuki E Vitara

The Maruti Suzuki E Vitara was recently unveiled in India, and it was expected to be launched in the country in January 2026. The electric SUV by Maruti Suzuki has also scored 5 stars in the crash test organized by the BNCAP. The premiumness and modernity of the exterior bits continue inside the cabin of the Maruti Suzuki E Vitara. It comes with several advanced features, such as powered and ventilated seats at the front, a fully automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, a wireless charger, and more. In terms of safety, the first-ever electric Maruti car comes loaded with features such as 7-airbags, ABS with EBD, an electronic parking brake with auto hold function, hill hold assist, and a Level 2 ADAS suite.

Tata Avinya EV

The Tata Avinya EV is an electric SUV that is based on the Gen 3 EV platform of the brand. This platform has been developed by the brand solely for Battery Electric Vehicles. The Gen 3 EV is a skateboard-styled platform, and it supports software integration, fast charging, and a higher driving range. The platform is expected to provide a driving range of more than 500 kilometres.

Tata Punch EV Facelift

While the Tata Punch Facelift was launched recently in India, the Tata Punch EV facelift is also expected to be launched soon. The Punch EV has remained the most popular electric car by the brand in India in 2025, answer expect, it to get the same set of features as the recently-launched Tata Punch Facelift. While the newly-launched Tata Punch facelift doesn’t come with an ADAS suite, we expect the upcoming Punch EV facelift to feature it.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella features swept-back headlights with eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs and a connecting light bar. It gets 18-inch aerodynamic wheels and a thick body cladding that runs throughout the length of the SUV. At the rear, it features taillamps with a connected light bar, similar to the E Vitara. The Urban Cruiser Ebella comes with several advanced features, such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen-based infotainment system, along with a 10.21-inch fully digital instrument cluster. Other key features include an automatic climate control, a sunroof, an electronic parking brake with auto hold function, and more. It is also expected to be launched soon.
