VinFast VF5 Launch In India:  The VinFast VF5 electric hatchback is expected to be launched in India soon. As per media reports, the Vietnamese car manufacturer might launch the VinFast VF5 electric hatchback in the country in the first half of 2026. Let’s take a look at the dimensions, Design, features, and powertrain of the upcoming VinFast VF5 electric hatchback in India.

VinFast VF5: Dimensions

The VinFast VF5 electric hatchback will try to make its place in India’s affordable EV segment, which is currently dominated by the Tata Tiago EV and the Tata Punch EV. The VinFast VF5 is 3,967mm long, 1,723mm wide, 1,579mm tall, and it has a wheelbase of 2,514mm. The VinFast VF5 has a ground clearance of 169mm, and it boasts a boot space of 260 litres.

VinFast VF5: Design

The VinFast VF5 features the brand’s signature V-shaped LED DRLs, along with a horizontally-placed Y-shaped LED projector headlamps, placed inside the pentagon-shaped housing. Large air intakes are placed on the lower edge of the bumper for battery cooling. The rear section of the SUV features a V-shaped connected LED taillight setup, a subtle roof spoiler with stop lamp, and reflectors and reverse light integrated on the rear bumper.

VinFast VF5: Features

The VinFast VF5 comes equipped with several advanced features, such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a PM 2.5 air filter, and leatherette upholstery. The electric hatchback from the Vietnamese car manufacturer also comes equipped with keyless entry, automatic headlights, a 7-inch fully digital instrument cluster, and rear USB ports.

VinFast VF5: Range

The VinFast VF5 is on sale in foreign markets, such as Indonesia, Vietnam, and Southeast Asia. The VinFast VF5 sold in the mentioned markets is available with two configurations: a 29.6 kWh battery pack and a 37.23 kWh battery pack. While the claimed range for the smaller battery stands at 268 kilometres, the claimed range for the larger battery pack stands at 326 kilometres. Notably, the claimed range mentioned here is the NEDC cycle.
