Tesla Model Y In India: Tesla began its journey in India with the opening of its first-ever showroom in BKC, Mumbai. The brand also announced the launch of its Model Y electric SUV in India following the opening of its showroom. The first Model Y electric SUV was delivered to the Maharashtra Transport Minister, Pratap Sarnaik. Now, Siddharth Jain, Executive Director of INOX group, has become the first Indian tycoon to receive delivery of the Tesla Model Y.

Siddharth Jain posted on the social media platform X, highlighting the milestone. The Executive Director of the INOX group tagged Elon Musk in his post and wrote, ‘This one’s for you @ ElonMusk. I am beyond thrilled to receive India Inc’s first @Tesla. I have been waiting for this precious moment ever since I visited the Tesla Fremont factory in 2017! Dreams do come true.’

Tesla Model Y: Features
The Model Y comes equipped with a 15.4-inch touchscreen inside the cabin, which controls most functions in the car. It also gets a panoramic glass sunroof and an electrical liftgate. The Model Y boasts some of the most advanced ADAS features, which include a blind spot monitor, lane keep assist, and more.

Tesla Model Y: Variants, Pricing & Range
The brand has offered Model Y in India with two variants: a standard rear-wheel drive and a long-range rear-wheel drive model. Both of these variants are powered by the same 62.5 kWh battery pack, and while the standard variant has an ex-showroom price of Rs 59.89 lakh (Ex-showroom), the long-range model gets an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 67.89 lakh (Ex-showroom). The standard variant of the Model Y has a claimed range of up to 500 kilometres, whereas the long-range model of the SUV is claimed to deliver up to 622 kilometres in a full charge.
