First Tesla Model Y Delivered: Watch Video

Elon Musk-owned Tesla, which has garnered 600 bookings for the Model Y in India since launch in July, has delivered the first unit to Maharashtra’s Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik. A video, released by news agency ANI, is a testament to that.

The video captures Pratap Sarnaik taking delivery of his all-white Tesla Model Y at the company's experience centre at Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai, Maharashtra. Tesla inaugurated its Mumbai experience centre in mid-July. 'It is a matter of pride for me. I did not get this car at any discount; I bought it by paying the full amount. I plan to use this Tesla to drop my grandson off at school so that more people see it, learn about electric vehicles, and are encouraged to adopt them,' said Sarnaik.
