Toyota Ebella EV:  The Toyota Ebella EV has been launched in India with prices starting from Rs 23.60 lakh (ex-showroom). Notably, this is the first mainstream all-electric car by the Japanese car manufacturer. The Toyota Ebella EV was unveiled in the country in January 2026, and its launch has been much-awaited ever since. The Ebella EV shares its underpinnings with the Maruti Suzuki E Vitara, which is the first electric car by the largest car manufacturer in India. Let’s take a look at the design, features, and range of the newly launched Toyota Ebella EV.

Toyota Ebella EV: Design

At the front, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella features swept-back headlights with eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs and a connecting light bar. It also features a blacked-out closed grille at the front, and the air intakes are placed lower on the bumper. The Urban Cruiser Ebella also features a sculpted bumper with functional air intakes. On the sides, it gets 18-inch aerodynamic wheels and a thick body cladding that runs throughout the length of the SUV. From the sides, the Urban Cruiser Ebella looks very similar to the Maruti Suzuki E Vitara, and it also gets a blacked-out ORVM with integrated LED turn signal. At the rear, it features taillamps with a connected light bar, similar to the E Vitara. It also gets a shark fin antenna, rear wiper, and a subtle roof spoiler with a mounted stop lamp.

Toyota Ebella EV: Features

The Urban Cruiser Ebella comes with several advanced features, such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen-based infotainment system, along with a 10.21-inch fully digital instrument cluster. Other key features include an automatic climate control, a sunroof, an electronic parking brake with auto hold function, a powered seat for the driver, a JBL sound system, and a USB-C-type charging port.

Toyota Ebella EV: Range & Battery

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella comes equipped with a 61 kWh battery pack. The electric motors on the Urban Cruiser Ebella are capable of generating a peak power and torque output of 173 hp and 192 Nm, respectively. The brand claims that the Urban Cruiser EV can cover up to 543 kilometres, once fully charged. Toyota is also providing an eight-year battery warranty on the Urban Cruiser Ebella, and it will also be offered with the Battery As A Service (BaaS) subscription to customers. The brand will provide a hassle-free experience to customers through a vast service network of 500 touchpoints.
