Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition Gets Sportier With 2025 Updates: Check What's New

Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition: Toyota has unveiled the 2025 iteration of the Fortuner Leader Edition in India with styling updates and feature enhancements. The new iteration is a follow-up on the previous one, targeting those 'seeking a sportier, more dynamic SUV'. Toyota has yet to announce the pricing of the updated Leader Edition, but dealer bookings are scheduled to commence in the second week of this month. 

Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition 2025: Engine

The updated Leader Edition comes in 4x2, 6-speed manual and automatic variants, while the engine is the brand's 2.8-litre diesel unit that is tuned to produce 201bhp and 500Nm of peak torque (with automatic). The rear-wheel-drive configuration enables what the company says is a fine balance between commanding performance and everyday drivability.

Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition 2025: Interior, Features

The cabin of the new Leader Edition boasts dual-tone black-and-maroon seats and door trims, in addition to illuminated scuff plates for added convenience. Toyota also offers an advanced tyre pressure monitor, reinforcing the vehicle's overall safety. Other bits, including cruise control, dual-zone climate control, and power-adjustable front seats, remain the same.

Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition 2025: Exterior, Price

Exterior-wise, the 2025 Leader Edition gets a new grille (with a Toyota logo), front and rear bumper spoilers, auto-folding outside rearview mirrors, and a dual-tone black roof. The glossy black alloys and a unique hood emblem accentuate the car's road presence.

The diesel version of the standard Toyota Fortuner SUV ranges from Rs 34.29 lakh to Rs 36.41 lakh (ex-showroom). Expect the Leader Edition to command a premium over the standard diesel model.
