Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor: Japanese automobile giant Toyota Motors is gearing up to introduce a new model this year. This model is being launched in collaboration with Maruti Suzuki to rebadge one of its cars. Toyota Motors will be unveiling a new SUV model that is based on the Maruti Suzuki Fronx SUV. This new upcoming model is poised to be called the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor. The Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor is scheduled to be launched in the Indian market on April 3.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor - Design
Maruti Suzuki Fronx was launched in the Indian market in April 2023 and is based on the Baleno hatchback model. Toyota is anticipated to maintain the majority of the design cues, with alterations limited to logo and badging. Minor differentiations, such as variations in the grille, bumper, and alloy designs, are likely to distinguish the Urban Cruiser Taisor from its Fronx counterpart.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor - Interior
Moving inside the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, the interior of the upcoming SUV will mirror the Fronx. It is likely that it will be equipped with a similar set of features that includes a 9-inch infotainment screen, a 360-degree camera, a Head-up Display (HUD), wireless charging, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Talking about the safety features, similar to the Fronx SUV, the Urban Cruiser Taisor is likely to be equipped with six airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Assist, and rear parking sensors.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor - Engine Specs
Talking about the engine specs of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, it will be powered by two engine options: the 1.0-litre Booster Jet turbo petrol engine and the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The turbocharged petrol engine is capable of generating 99 bhp of power and 147 Nm of peak torque. Meanwhile, the 1.2-litre engine produces 88 bhp and integrates Maruti's smart hybrid system. It is expected that Toyota will offer at least one variant of the Taisor with a hybrid powertrain.
