Triumph Motorcycles India has launched the Tiger 900 range for the Indian markets. The Tiger 900 range comprises the Tiger 900 GT and the Tiger 900 Rally Pro. The Tiger 900 GT is available at a starting price of Rs 13.95 lakh (ex-showroom) while the Tiger 900 Rally Pro is available at a starting price of Rs 15.95 lakh (ex-showroom). 

Triumph Tiger 900 Range - Performance and Hardware 

The Triumph Tiger 900 range is powered by a 888 cc, Liquid-cooled, 12 valve, DOHC, in-line 3-cylinder engine that has now been tuned to produce an increased power output of 108 bhp and 90 Nm of torque which is 13 bhp and 3 Nm more than the previous bike.

Talking about the hardware on both the variants of the Triumph Tiger 900 range, the Tiger 900 GT gets a 45 mm Marzocchi USD fork with 180 mm of travel and a rear monoshock with 170 mm of travel. On the other hand, the Tiger 900 Rally Pro gets a fully adjustable 45 mm Showa USD fork with 240 mm of travel and a fully adjustable rear monoshock with 230 mm of travel.  

The seat adjustments for the Tiger 900 GT is positioned between 820-840 mm whereas the Tiger 900 Rally Pro is positioned between 820-840 mm. These measurements indicate that the seat height has gone up by 10 mm on both the models.

Triumph Tiger 900 Range - Features 

In terms of features in the Tiger 900 range, it gets a 7-inch TFT display with standard Bluetooth connectivity and a USB Type C port. Notable features include a ride-by-wire, cornering ABS, traction control along with four riding modes – Road, Rain, Sport and Off-Road. Additionally, the Rally Pro gets an Off-Road Pro mode which fully disables the ABS and traction control.

Triumph Tiger 900 Range - Price and Competitors 

The Triumph Tiger 900 range is available with prices varying from Rs 13.95 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base model of the GT variant to Rs 16.25 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec model of the Rally Pro variant. After its launch, the Tiger 900 variant will compete with other motorcycles in the segment - the Tiger 900 GT will compete with the Ducati Multistrada V2 while the Tiger Rally Pro will compete with the Ducati DesertX and the BMW F 850 GS Adventure. Deliveries for the Tiger 900 range are scheduled to begin from February 2024.
