Triumph Motorcycles will be launching the Triumph Scrambler 400 X  this month, likely by next week. The motorcycle manufacturer revealed both the Triumph Speed 400 and Triumph Scrambler 400 X a few months ago and is now preparing to launch the Scrambler 400 X soon. The Scrambler 400 X is expected to be priced between Rs 2.60 lakh and Rs 2.80 lakh (ex-showroom) with deliveries starting in November.

Triumph Scrambler 400 X - Design 

The Triumph Scrambler 400 X looks similar to the Scrambler 1200 XC. It boasts a tall posture, Metzeler Karoo dual-sport tires on cast-Aluminium alloy wheels and extended-travel suspension, all contributing to its scrambler appearance. Additional features are also present like the mesh headlight guard, knuckle guards and engine bash-plate that further enhance its visual appeal.

Triumph Scrambler 400 X - Engine

The Scrambler 400 X will be manufactured in India at Bajaj's Chakan-2 facility, manufacturing for both domestic and international markets. It retains the liquid-cooled 398cc single-cylinder engine, generating 40 bhp and 37.5 Nm of torque that is used in the 40 bhp and 37.5 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring a slip-and-assist clutch.

Triumph Scrambler 400 X - Hardware

Triumph Scrambler 400 X’s shares its hybrid spine, perimeter, and tubular steel frame with a bolt-on rear sub-frame and a cast Aluminium swingarm with its counterpart. It is equipped with 43 mm USD forks and boasts 150 mm of travel at both ends, surpassing the Speed 400. Additionally, it sports a larger 19-inch wheel up front. In contrast to the Speed 400's 300mm front brake disc, the Scrambler 400 X features a larger 320mm unit.

Triumph Scrambler 400 X - Features 

The Scrambler 400 X features a bigger handlebar equipped with plastic hand guards, a split-seat and a dual-barrel exhaust. This model offers an upright riding position, elevating the rider for improved visibility. The Scrambler 400 X also features a larger brake pedal, wider serrated footpegs for enhanced grip and a stand-up riding position.The Triumph Scrambler 400 X also features switchable traction control, ride-by-wire technology, digi-analogue display and dual-channel ABS from Bosch, with the option to deactivate the rear-wheel ABS for off-road use.
