Triumph Thruxton 400 Cafe Racer: Bajaj Auto and Triumph Motorcycles have collaborated to manufacture a range of motorcycles and have already launched the Triumph Speed 400 and the Triumph Scrambler 400X. This new range of motorcycles are being launched under the Triumph brand name while being built at Bajaj Auto’s new Chakan plant in Pune. This Bajaj-Triumph partnership is now in the works to launch a new motorcycle that is rumoured to be Triumph Thruxton 400. The upcoming Triumph Thruxton 400 has been spotted testing internationally.

Triumph Thruxton 400 Cafe Racer - Design and Looks 

The Triumph Thruxton 400 is expected to get a Cafe Racer design that has always been a hit with motorcycle enthusiasts all over the world. Talking about the design of the Triumph Thruxton 400 visible in the spy shots reveals that it gets a modern-retro exterior appearance and is inspired by its bigger siblings. It also gets a unique front fairing that goes all the way to the fuel tank, making it look more aggressive. The sporty design of the fairing with its cuts and creases adds to its overall style. It gets a round LED headlight similar to the one installed on the Speed 400. It also gets a clear windshield to protect the riders from the wind. 

The Triumph Thruxton 400 is built on the same platform as the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X. It is equipped with USD front forks, similar to the sleek black ones on the Speed 400. The placing of the radiator and the exhaust is quite similar to the Speed 400. It features sporty clip-on handlebars for a more dynamic riding position, setting the Thruxton 400 apart from its counterpart. The mirrors, seat, subframe and wheels are identical to other Triumph’s 400 motorcycles.

Triumph Thruxton 400 Cafe Racer - Engine 

It is anticipated that the Triumph Thruxton 400 will be powered by the same engine as the Speed 400. The Triumph Speed 400 is powered by a 398.15cc single-cylinder DOHC liquid-cooled engine that churns a power output of 39.5 bhp and 37.5 Nm of torque. Additionally, it gets ride-by-wire throttle, a slip-and-assist clutch and a 6-speed gearbox.

The spotted Triumph Thruxton 400 Cafe Racer looks like its production ready, therefore, it is fair to expect that Bajaj and Triumph could launch this new cafe racer sometime in 2024.
