TVS Ntorq 150 Scooter Launch: TVS Motor Company has launched the Ntorq 150, the biggest-displacement scooter in TVS' India lineup, aiming to take on the Yamaha Aerox 155 and the Hero Xoom 160. Starting at Rs 1.19 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), the TVS Ntorq 150 comes in two variants: standard and TFT. The former offers a hybrid display (TFT+LCD), while the latter gets a TFT unit with adaptive brightness control, among other things. However, engine and hardware specifications are the same for both. Let's get into the details now:
TVS Ntorq 150: Engine, Output
The Ntorq 150 uses a 149.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with Fuel Injection technology. The engine is tuned to make 12.3bhp at 7,000rpm and 14.2Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm. 0 to 60km/h takes a claimed time of 6.3 seconds, while the top speed is capped at 104km/h. The scooter also has an integrated starter generator, producing silent starts.
TVS Ntorq 150: Instrumentation, Features
Instrumentation-wise, the Ntorq 150 offers a TFT instrument cluster, albeit with the top-spec version. The TFT display brings custom widgets, adaptive brightness control, day & night modes, vehicle live tracking, SoS trigger, and telematics. The top-spec Ntorq 150 also benefits from a crash alert, Incognito mode, Alexa integration, and OTA updates. Common bits include a side-stand indicator, top speed recorder, low fuel indicator, call alerts, ride stats, turn-by-turn navigation, and Bluetooth connectivity.

TVS Ntorq 150: Electronic Aids
For riders' safety, TVS brings traction control, single-channel ABS, adjustable brake lever, two ride modes (Street and Race), parking brakes, iGo Assist (available with Race mode), and integrated idle start-stop. An integrated engine-kill-and-start switch, along with an underseat USB charging port and metal dampers, also form part of the list. The Ntorq 150 TFT additionally gets panic braking.
TVS Ntorq 150: Suspension, Braking
The Ntorq 150 features a telescopic front fork and a rear monoshock, both equipped with hydraulic dampers. The braking setup consists of a single 220mm front disc brake and a 130mm rear drum brake. Weighing 115kg (kerb), the scooter comes fitted with 12-inch wheels with tubeless tyres.

TVS Ntorq 150: Design, Dimensions
Design elements include projector headlamps, LED turn indicators, front combination lamps, naked handlebars, split grab rails, aero winglets, and a sporty tail section. The scooter also boasts a 'Follow Me Headlamps' feature. The 765mm-long premium seat wears the 'Ntorq' logo. Other highlights include 22-litre under-seat storage, a 770mm seat height, a 1,285mm wheelbase, and 155mm of ground clearance.
