New TVS Raider 125 Dual Disc: TVS Motor Company just updated its 125cc sporty commuter bike, the Raider 125, with the launch of two new variants in India. For 2025, the TVS Raider 125 brings fresh updates to the styling and features, redefining the sporty commuter segment in the country. This means it's time to learn how it fares against the competition. We pit the newly launched TVS Raider 125 Dual Disc against the rival brand Hero, which offers the Glamour X 125 Disc at a similar price point. Take a look at what differentiates the two:
TVS Raider 125 Dual Disc Vs Hero Glamour X 125 Disc: Price
The Raider 125 line-up has now been expanded to include two new variants: TFT Dual Disc and SXC Dual Disc, priced at Rs 95,600 and Rs 93,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi). At its price, the TVS Raider 125 TFT Dual Disc is more than Rs 4,000 affordable than the Hero Glamour X 125 Disc, which is available at Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
TVS Raider 125 Dual Disc Vs Hero Glamour X 125 Disc: Raider gets rear disc brake
The Raider 125 Dual Disc, as its name implies, features a rear disc brake measuring 200mm, making it the first 125cc bike in its class to do so. The front disc brake is a 240mm unit. On the other hand, the disc variant of the Glamour X 125 gets a 240mm disc at the front and a 130mm drum at the rear for braking duties.

TVS Raider 125 Dual Disc Vs Hero Glamour X 125 Disc: Raider gets single-channel abs
Along with disc brakes, the TVS Raider also gets a single-channel anti-lock braking system, which is not found on the Hero Glamour X. However, Hero's Xtreme 125R offers ABS.
TVS Raider 125 Dual Disc Vs Hero Glamour X 125 Disc: Raider gets smaller wheels, but wider rear tyres
Catering to younger riders, the TVS Raider 125 Dual Disc features 17-inch alloy wheels, paired with 90/90 front and 110/80 rear tyres. Meanwhile, the Glamour gets 18-inch wheels wrapped in 90/100 front and 100/80 rear tyres.
TVS Raider 125 Dual Disc Vs Hero Glamour X 125 Disc: Instrumentation
Instrumentation-wise, the Raider 125 TFT Dual Disc gets a TFT display, while the SXC Dual Disc has a reverse LCD dash. As for the Glamour X 125, Hero offers a colour LCD unit. Both models are available with Bluetooth connectivity, phone alerts, and turn-by-turn navigation.

Whereas the Raider 125 is India's first 125cc bike to get a rear disc brake, the Glamour X 125 is the first to get a cruise control feature. The latter also offers ride-by-wire, panic brake alert, an LED headlamp with auto adjustment, and 3 ride modes (Power, Eco, Road). The former additionally gets a 'Follow Me Home' headlamp, boost mode, GTT (Glide Through Technology), and a new dual-tone colour.
