Ultraviolette Automotive, an Indian electric motorcycle manufacturer based in Bangalore has revealed the new F99 e-motorcycle at the ongoing EICMA 2023 in Milan. Ultraviolette also showcased this motorcycle at the Auto Expo 2023 and it has been officially named as the F99 Electric Factory Racing Platform.
Ultraviolette F99 - Power
The F99 is capable of generating a maximum power output of 90kW or 120 bhp and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3 seconds as claimed by Ultraviolette. The brand also claims that it can achieve a top speed of 265 km/h while having a kerb weight of 178 kg.
Ultraviolette F99 - Performance
The F99 platform has been under development for the last two years and Ultraviolette has specifically focused on the aerodynamics to be able to achieve its top speed. The front air intakes guide the air, creating a protective air curtain over the rider's helmet at high speeds and therefore reducing drag. Additionally, carbon-fiber winglets on each side of the bike kick in when leaning, helping to minimize drag with a 30-degree range of movement.
The F99 is built on a different frame than the F77 which has been designed to handle its enhanced performance. It comes equipped with top-notch components that include Ohlins suspension on both ends and Brembo monobloc calipers. Unlike the F77's 60-volt system, the F99 operates on a 400-volt battery architecture. Additionally, it boasts an underbraced milled swingarm.
