JSW MG Motor India, the joint venture between India's JSW Group and China's MG Motor India has announced the name of its upcoming electric car. The new EV will be called MG Windsor Pro EV and will be an extension of its EV portfolio, sitting along side the popular MG Windsor EV electric car in the company's product lineup.

The MG Windsor Pro EV will get new and advanced features over and above the MG Windsor, along with additional tech features, enhanced safety, a new cabin, improved convenience, fresh style elements and a new battery pack.

This is for the first time JSW MG Motor has teased the upcoming CUV, which looks similar to the MG Windsor in design. The MG Windsor is the India's best selling electric car for 7 months in a row and has sold more than 25,000 units in India.

The MG Windsor gets the space of a sedan with the versatility of an SUV, along with enhanced battery range making it popular in India. As per the company's recent data, JSW MG Motor India reported monthly sales of 5829 units for April 2025. 

This is a year-over-year (YoY) growth of 23% over April 2024, when the company sold a total of 4725 units. The car was launched under the JSW MG Motor India Pvt. Ltd. JV, which was formed in 2023 between SAIC and JSW. 

MG Motor India currently retails MG Hector and Hector Plus SUVs, MG ZS EV Electric SUV, MG Gloster SUV, MG Astor SUV, MG Comet Electric Hatchback and MG Windsor Electric CUV.
