Hero Xtreme 250R Updates: Within a year after Hero MotoCorp launched its first 250cc bike, the Xtreme 250R, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January 2025, the world's largest two-wheeler manufacturer has unveiled the updated version of the 250cc bike under the new banner – the Hunk 250R. While it appears to be visually identical to the Xtreme 250R, the (updated) Hero Xtreme 250R/Hunk 250R now gets an electronic throttle, which enables the rider to access the cruise control feature. Further specifics are yet to be shared, but one could expect the brand to offer a Type-C USB port.

Hero Xtreme 250R: Sharp Design, Most Powerful Engine, Adjustable Rear Suspension

The overall design and bodywork of the updated Xtreme 250R remain sharp and aggressive. It features the same split seat setup, angular LED headlamp, and high-rise tail section. The Xtreme 250R is Hero's most powerful two-wheeler currently on sale in India. Powering the bike is a 250cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 30bhp and 25Nm. The bike uses a steel trellis frame suspended by an inverted front fork and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. According to Hero, the bike has a 167mm ground clearance and an 806mm seat height.

Hero Xtreme 250R: Will India Get the Updated Version?

While there is no official confirmation for Hero on bringing the updated Xtreme 250R to India, we expect the brand to launch the new version by the end of 2025. Hero currently retails the bike at Rs 1.66 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.

Hero Xoom 160 Updated Too

The Xoom 160 is Hero's maxi-scooter with an ADV-inspired design, and the scooter's updates include LED turn indicators, a new instrument console, and a rear disc brake. Although the brand does not offer cruise control on its flagship scooter, one might expect dual-channel ABS. Everything else, including the engine and chassis, remains the same. The scooter draws power from a new 156cc liquid-cooled engine, which makes 14bhp and 14Nm. As of now, there is no word on Hero launching the Xoom 160 with these updates.
