VinFast VF 6 and VF 7 Price in India: Vietnam-based VinFast has officially entered the Indian market with the launch of its first electric models, the VF 6 and the VF 7. The VF 6 is a sleek midsize electric SUV priced from Rs 16.49 lakh, while the VF 7 is a sporty crossover starting at Rs 20.89 lakh. Both prices are introductory, ex-showroom.

VinFast VF 6, VF 7: Variants

The VinFast VF 6 comes in three variants: Earth, Wind, and Wind Infinity, with prices ranging from Rs 16.49 lakh to Rs 18.29 lakh. The larger VF 7 is available in five variants – Earth, Wind, Wind Infinity, Sky, and Sky Infinity. The top-end Sky Infinity is priced at Rs 25.49 lakh. All prices are introductory, ex-showroom.

VinFast VF 6, VF 7: Battery Specs

The VF 6 gets a 59.6kWh battery paired with a 201bhp, front axle-mounted motor. The WLTP range is capped at 480km, while the ARAI figure is capped at 468km (Earth). 0-100km/h comes up in 8.89 seconds.

On the other hand, the VF 7 is available in two battery configurations (59.6kWh and 70.8kWh LFP) and supports both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive (345bhp) systems. The VF 7 FWD claims a range of 450km, while the AWD yields 431km (both figures, WLTP). The ARAI-certified range of the VF 7 is 532km (Wind). The crossover can reach 100km/h in 9.5 seconds. 

VinFast VF 6, VF 7: Charging Capabilities

The VF 6 comes with multiple charging options – 3.3kW and 7.2kW AC, in addition to DC fast chargers. 10 to 70 per cent is possible in 25 minutes using a fast charger. The bigger 70.8kWh battery in the VF 7 can be charged from 10 to 70 per cent in 28 minutes. It supports both AC and DC chargers.

VinFast VF 6, VF 7: Interior Options, Features

Depending on the model and its variant selected, the VinFast models offer two interior options: Black and Mocca Brown, along with vegan leather upholstery, a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic fixed glass roof, an 8-way powered driver's seat, ventilated front seats, reclinable rear seats, dual-zone climate control, connected car tech, piano-inspired gear selector (with 'Drive' mode), and a 90W USB port.

Instead of a conventional digital driver's display, a heads-up display is on offer. As is the case with EVs, physical buttons are kept to a bare minimum, with most controls managed through a freestanding touchscreen.

VinFast VF 6, VF 7: Safety Suite

Safety-wise, the models are packed with seven airbags, adaptive cruise control, Level 2 ADAS, auto headlamps, ABS with EBD, an electronic parking brake, auto park assist, rain-sensing wipers, and a 360-degree camera.

VinFast VF 6, VF 7: Design, Dimensions

Dimensionally, the VF 6 measures 4,238mm in length, 1,820mm in width, and 1,594mm in height. It features a 2,730mm wheelbase and 190mm ground clearance. As for the VF 7, the measurements are 4,545mm, 1,890mm, and 1,636mm, respectively. The wheelbase stands at 2,840mm. The ground clearance is the same as the VF 6.

Based on the design philosophy of 'The Duality in Nature', the VF 6 is a compact electric SUV with a sloping roofline, LED projector headlamps, an acoustic windshield, full-width front and rear LED DRL strips, and a VinFast emblem. It sits on 18-inch machine-cut alloy wheels. 

The larger VF 7 adopts the design philosophy of 'The Universe is Asymmetrical'. Like the VF 6, the VF 7 features the signature 'V Face' LED DRL strip at the front. It also gets auto projector headlamps, an acoustic windshield, reverse link outside rearview mirrors, and a VinFast emblem. Unlike the VF 6, it is fitted with 19-inch wheels.
