VinFast VF 6, VF 7 Variants: Price And Battery Specs Explained

VinFast VF 6 and VF 7 Price in India:  VinFast has launched its first premium electric models in India, the VF 6 and the VF 7. The VinFast VF 6 is a midsize SUV priced from Rs 16.49 lakh, while the VF 7 is a full-fledged SUV starting from Rs 20.89 lakh. The prices are introductory, ex-showroom. Following a customer-first approach, VinFast offers both SUVs with a 10-year/2 lakh-kilometre warranty on the vehicle and battery, free charging until July 2028, and 3 years of maintenance.

VinFast Future Plans for India

After expanding into 16 countries worldwide, VinFast's focus is now on opening 35 touchpoints across 27 major Indian cities by the end of 2025, as well as building a robust charging and after-sales infrastructure in India. At the moment, Vietnam-based VinFast has a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, where both SUVs will be assembled. The facility will act as a manufacturing hub for both domestic and international markets including Southeast Asia and Africa.

VinFast VF 6, VF 7 Variants: Battery Specs

The VinFast VF 6 comes in a single 59.6kWh battery configuration and three variants: Earth, Wind, and Wind Infinity. The bigger VF 7 is offered in five variants (Earth, Wind, Wind Infinity, Sky, and Sky Infinity) and two battery configurations (59.6kWh and 70.8kWh). The VF 6 comes in a front-wheel-drive setup. Maximum power and torque outputs stand at 201bhp and 310Nm. The SUV claims an ARAI-certified range of up to 468km (for Earth). For the Wind, the VF 6 can reach 463km (ARAI).

The VF 7 supports both front-wheel- and all-wheel-drive systems, with outputs varying from 201bhp/310Nm to 345bhp/500Nm. The ARAI-certified range figure for the Wind is 532km, while the Sky and the Earth deliver 510km and 438km (both ARAI). Both batteries support AC and fast chargers.
