Volkswagen teased new upcoming special edition models of the VW Virtus sedan and VW Taigun SUV for the Indian markets. Both these special edition models are slated to be launched on November 21. These special edition models will be called VW Virtus Sound Edition and VW Taigun Sound Edition. Volkswagen India has not revealed any specific information about these special edition models but it is likely that they will get some visual enhancements and new features to set them apart from the standard model of the Virtus and Taigun.

VW Virtus and VW Taigun - Sound Edition 

The teaser video released by Volkswagen India does not reveal any information about the upcoming Sound Edition. However, it is expected that these special edition models will feature new design updates and interior upgrades. In terms of powertrain, like all special edition models, the Sound Edition models will also continue to use the same engine configurations as the standard models of the Virtus and Taigun. 

Volkswagen India Vehicle Line-Up 

In the Indian market, Volkswagen's current vehicle lineup consists of three models - Volkswagen Virtus sedan, Volkswagen Taigun compact SUV and Volkswagen Tiguan SUV. Additionally, the automaker has introduced the GT Edge Limited Edition variants for both the Virtus and Taigun and the Taigun also has a GT Edge Trail edition variant.

Volkswagen Model Prices In India 

The Volkswagen Virtus prices range between Rs 11.48 lakh - Rs 19.29 lakh (ex-showroom) while the GT Edge Limited Edition variant of the Virtus is priced between Rs 17.10 lakh to Rs 18.77 lakh (ex-showroom). The standard Volkswagen Taigun is priced between Rs 11.62 lakh to Rs 21.10 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, the GT Edge Limited Edition variant of the Taigun is priced between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 19.26 lakh (ex-showroom) and the GT Edge Trail Edition is priced at Rs 16.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
