VW Virtus And Taigun Sound Edition Launched In India; Check Prices And New Design Details Here

Volkswagen India has launched the Sound Edition of its VW Virtus sedan and the VW Taigun SUV. The VW Virtus Sound Edition and the VW Taigun Sound Edition are based on the Topline variant of the Volkswagen sedan and the SUV. 

VW Virtus and VW Taigun Sound Edition - Price

The Volkswagen Virtus Sound Edition has been priced at Rs 15.52 lakh for the manual variant and Rs 16.77 lakh for the automatic variant. On the other hand, the Volkswagen Taigun Sound Edition has been priced at Rs 16.33 lakh for the manual variant and Rs 17.90 lakh for the automatic variant. All prices mentioned above are ex-showroom.

VW Virtus and VW Taigun Sound Edition - Design 

Talking about the exterior design modifications in the Sound Edition variant of the Virtus and Taigun include new colour scheme options of Rising Blue, Wild Cherry Red, Carbon Steel Grey and Lava Red. It also gets exclusive ‘Sound Edition’ badging and graphics on the C-pillars for both the models to set it apart from the standard variant of the Virtus and Taigun. 

VW Virtus and VW Taigun Sound Edition - Features 

As the name suggests, the Sound Edition variants of both the models get an improved sound system that comprises a seven-speaker audio system with a subwoofer and an amplifier. Additionally, both the Sound Edition models also get electrically powered front-row seats.

VW Virtus and VW Taigun Sound Edition - Powertrain 

Volkswagen has not brought in any new additions to the powertrain of either Virtus Sound Edition or the Taigun Sound Edition. Both the models of the Sound Edition will be available with powertrain setup of a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine. This 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine is tuned to produce a power output of 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque. This engine will be available with transmission options of either a six-speed manual gearbox unit or a six-speed automatic transmission.
