Mahindra Thar Roxx Viral Video: Mahindra Thar Roxx is popular for its on-road presence, as well as its off-road capabilities in the country. But often videos of the Thar Roxx owners driving it rashly surface on the internet. One such video was recently shared on the social media platform X. A Thar Roxx can be seen hitting a scooter Rider in the video intentionally.
Mahindra Thar Roxx: Viral Video
The video features a black Mahindra Thar Roxx being driven impulsively on the roads of Jammu. The Thar Roxx then gets to the other lane in an attempt to overtake the vehicle in front and hits the scooter rider coming from the front. The scooter rider falls while the Thar Roxx driver reverses his car aggressively, trying to run him over intentionally. The latter part of the video features the driver getting out of the vehicle and taking a look at the scooter rider with a hostile body language.

Jammu Police Takes Action
Jammu Police acknowledged the video after it was posted on social media and took stern action. As per Jammu Police, the vehicle has been seized after the incident was reported. Manan Anand, son of the Thar Roxx owner, was driving the car at the time of the incident, and he is currently absconding. The police have detained the father and the owner of the vehicle, Rajinder Anand.

What Does The Law Say?
As per the law, the vehicle owner needs to make sure that the vehicle is being driven by a competent and worthy driver without endangering others on the road. Section 133 of the Motor Vehicle Act states that in case of an accident, the owner of the vehicle has a duty to provide the information to the police. If the owner fails to do so or the driver absconds, the Owner is liable for punishment and monetary penalty.
