Yamaha Jog E Electric Scooter:  Yamaha, the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer, recently launched the Jog E electric scooter in Japan. The Yamaha Jog E is an affordable, compact, and practical electric scooter manufactured especially for urban mobility. The electric scooter will replace the ICE Jog scooter by Yamaha. Yamaha Jog E Electric Scooter: Range & Battery

The Yamaha Jog E electric scooter is powered by a 1.5 kWh single swappable battery system that has been created by the brand in collaboration with Honda, Suzuki, and Kawasaki. The battery pack on the Yamaha Jog E offers a swappable battery system that has a claimed return of up to 53 kilometres in a single charge. The Jog E electric scooter features a 1.7 kWh electric motor that can generate a peak power and torque output of 2.3 PS and 90 Nm, respectively.

Yamaha Jog E Electric Scooter: Design

The Yamaha Jog E electric scooter gets a very simple, clean and modern design. The Jo E electric scooter will be offered in a total of two colour options: a dark metallic grey paint and a light grey paint. The electric scooter gets all-LED lighting, polygon-shaped headlamps, circular mirrors, a flat body panel, and a horizontal taillamp with integrated turn-signals. It also gets a 500ml front pocket, USB Type-A charging slot, underseat storage, inverted LCD instrument screen, and three riding modes.

Yamaha Jog E Electric Scooter: Price & Hardware

The Yamaha Jog E features a 12-inch wheel at the front and a 10-inch wheel at the rear. The braking duty is handled by a disc brake on the front and a drum brake at the rear. The electric scooter also features a combi-brake setup, and while it gets telescopic forks at the front, it gets dual-shock absorbers at the rear. The Yamaha Jog E is priced at 1,59,500 Yan (approximately Rs 90,000). It is worth mentioning that the price shared here is only the scooter’s price, and consumers will need to pay for the battery and swappable services as well.
