Hours after Lok Sabha LoP and Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi vowed to drop a Hydrogen Bomb related to the alleged vote theft, the BJP on Monday mocked him, saying that his earlier 'atom bomb' had turned out to be a damp squib.
The BJP also accused him of belittling the position of the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha with irresponsible remarks.
Reacting to Gandhi's remarks, BJP's Patna MP Ravi Shankar Prasad said that he and his party have a history of "abusing" PM Modi, but people have repeatedly rejected Gandhi and reposed faith in the prime minister.
Therefore, he added, the Congress leader alleging fraud and deceit behind the BJP's victories under Modi's leadership is insulting voters. "This is arrogance and we will tell voters to punish him for his arrogance," he said.

He also took repeated swipes at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav for playing "second fiddle" to Gandhi in Bihar despite knowing that the Congress lacks a political base in the state.
BJP slams Tejashwi
He said that Tejashwi has claimed over the chief minister's chair but has ceded the front seat to Gandhi. He also criticised the Voter Adhikar Yatra, asserting that it will have no impact on the Bihar assembly polls.
The BJP leader, during the press conference, also defended the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. He claimed that the opposition's campaign against it is solely driven by two reasons. Opposition wants "right and might to capture booths" and that infiltrators should be allowed to vote, he added.
What did Rahul Gandhi say?
Earlier in the day, Gandhi said, "I want to say to the people of BJP, that, in Mahadevpura, we had shown atom bomb, but soon we will come with hydrogen bomb, BJP get ready. Their truth will be shown to the country. I express gratitude to the people of Bihar for helping us... I guarantee you, after hydrogen bomb, Narendra Modi ji won't be able to show his face to this country..."
