Bihar is set to get a greenfield road, connecting Patna, Lakhisarai and Deoghar. The expressway is set to reduce the problem of traffic jam in the Sheikhpura district.

The construction of Sarmera-Bhadaus-Pachna Greenfield road has now reached its final stage. The Road Construction Department said that its tender will be published this month, and the tender will be opened on September 21.

Executive Engineer of Road Construction Devkant Kumar informed that this road will be 9.27 km long and 10 meters wide. This road will start from Sarmera of Nalanda and will reach Bhadaus and Pachna of Sheikhpura via the border of Lakhisarai.

This road will provide great relief to the passengers travelling from Patna to Lakhisarai, Jamui and Deoghar. They will get relief from the traffic jam of Sheikhpura town and the journey will become easy.

This road will connect the roads of Dehkusumbha, Dhatkusumbha, Puraina, Mehus, Pali villages of Sheikhpura, which will also provide better road facilities to the people of Ghatkusumbha and Barhiya Tal area of Lakhisarai. This much awaited project was announced by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar during his Pragati Yatra.

The road construction department said that work is also progressing rapidly on other roads in the district. The construction of the Jakhrajsthan to Hussainabad road is in its final stage, while road construction work has also been started on the Sheikhpura-Barbigha road from Nemdarganj to Konan Mor of Nalanda via Ramzanpur.
