As preparations for the upcoming assembly elections gain pace, all District Magistrates (DMs) in Bihar have been directed to hold meetings with local public representatives and recognised political parties on July 9 and 10. These meetings, being held under the Special Summary Revision (SSR) of the voter list, will focus on the reorganisation of polling booths and the rationalisation of electoral rolls.

According to the office of Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Vinod Singh Gunjiyal, the discussions will include a review of the updated list of polling booths and the actions taken so far. The meetings are aimed at ensuring transparency in the electoral process and addressing any technical or practical issues that may arise during the voter list revision exercise. Suggestions will also be invited from political parties to further refine the process.
