The process will start with the counting of ballot papers, followed by the EVM votes. The counting is expected to continue until the evening, after which the final results and list of winners will be announced.

The first phase of the Bihar polls was conducted on November 6, while the second phase was held on November 11. The first phase saw 64.66 per cent of voters cast their ballot. This figure was surpassed in the second phase, which recorded a massive 68.52 per cent turnout.

In the high-stakes Bihar election, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is expected to come to power once again, as predicted by various exit polls. As per the projections, Mahagathbandhan would fall short of the majority mark.

The NDA consists of BJP, JD(U) and LJP (Ram Vilas) acting as the major alliance partners, while the Opposition INDIA bloc is formed of RJD, the Congress and the Left parties as the main constituents. While the NDA has projected Nitish Kumar as its chief ministerial face, the INDIA bloc has fielded RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav as its CM candidate.
