Bihar Assembly Elections Live Update: All political parties have blown the bugle in Bihar as the state is slated to go to polls next month. The voting in the upcoming elections is scheduled to be held in two phases on November 6 and 11.
Among the 243 seats, 121 will go to the polls in the first phase, while the remaining 122 constituencies will vote on November 11. The counting of votes will be held on November 14.
The opposition INDIA bloc, widely known as Mahagathbandhan, has announced the names of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav as its CM candidate and VIP chief Mukesh Sahni as Deputy CM candidate. The grand alliance is looking to uproot the CM Nitish Kumar-led government, which has been ruling the state for the last 20 years.
On the other hand, the BJP-led NDA has an official not named Nitish as its CM candidate, but has time and again argued to fight under his leadership. On Friday, the NDA released a joint manifesto for the Bihar elections.
